Immunization clinics available in 98 hospitals
Hospital-based immunization clinics have been opened in 98 hospitals, which have 100 beds or more throughout the regions and states starting in the month of May. Dr Myint Htwe, Union Minister for the Ministry of Health and Sports said hospital-based immunization program is one of the priorities of his ministry. Speaking at the launching ceremony of the program at Yangon Children’s Hospital on Friday (May 5), he said that “some hospitals such as this one and Yangon Central Women Hospital had been providing routine immunization programs in the past. “Now, 98 other hospitals have introduced the immunization clinics to enable people to be immunized and get vaccines.”
